Lichte Insurance Agency, Inc. is a family owned business established in 1932. The business was started during the Great Depression by Henry E. H. Lichte on a farm in Loganville, Wisconsin. In 1941, Henry and his wife, Mildred, moved the business to their home at 149 W Main St, Reedsburg, WI. The office remained there for 79 years until moving to its current location at 2175 E Main Street, Reedsburg, WI in September of 2020.

Donald H. Lichte Sr. joined the business in 1959 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Donald A Lichte Jr joined the business in 1984 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Peter J Lichte joined the business in 1999 after working for Harley Davidson, Hankscraft Motors and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Henry Lichte taught Don Sr and wife, Kay more than just insurance. “You have to put back into the community” he said. Don Sr took this advice very seriously and instilled the same lessons in his sons as they have all been very active in many community organizations. The Lichte Insurance Agency, Inc. continues to live and work by the principles instilled by the agencies founder, Henry E. H. Lichte.
